on a break

i'm taking a short break from the blogging world due to accompanying my mum who's leaving shortly - she's been sick too for the last few days :( other than that i've also got a little project to modify my dad's company website plus i've been quite busy as well at the office that i feel exhausted by the time i got home. anyway, i'll leave you with these 2 cute dolls by mizna wada, another brilliant japanese artist.

oh, i found several new great blogs as well for you to browse:
1. make it - which is a blog about stories and tips to turn your creativity into business; 2. that's hot - a blog with a collection of fantastic findings by katie nicosia; 3. inside the black apple - a beautiful blog by emily, an artist/crafter living in new york.

i'd also like to thank you all who have visited my blog. i'm thinking about taking out the shoutbox from my blog as i keep getting some messages that i don't understand the language (i speak english and indo only).

seen it, read it

movie:
x-men 3 - i know it's probably very very late to post about this movie but yeah, this has been the last movie i went to a month ago! anyway, compared to the 2 other considered-big-but-ended-up-disappointing movies that i went to previously (mi-3 and da vinci code), i would say i found this one as the most enjoyable one. good visual effects and all - however i found that the ending of the story itself was rather too cliché.***

book: my sister's keeper author: jodi picoult
this novel is about a 13-year-old kid named anna, who has undergone countless surgeries, transfusions, and shots so that her older sister, kate, can somehow fight the leukemia that has plagued her since childhood. anna makes a decision that for most would be unthinkable, a decision that will tear her family apart and have perhaps fatal consequences for the sister she loves. i've never read any of jodi picoult's books before and surprisingly this becomes one of my fave novels.*****
