blogger layout sos

hello bloggers, HAPPY NEW YEAR 2009 *again*!!! so... i wanted to change my blog layout a little bit to start this year; i want to display bigger images in my blog posts, except that i have absolutely no idea how to do it! spent hours going through the HTML codes (well, i am obviously not an HTML or CSS coder!) but couldn't find where i can change that setting and i've given up! image width 400 pixels is just as far as i can go when i uploaded images and set it the size to large (instead of small and medium). and if i enlarge the image by dragging the corner of the image displayed, it will just make the image pixelated / blurry :( anyone can help? sorry for a not very exciting topic to post on the first day of the year! thanks in advance!

happy new year 2009

heels

yesterday was a crappy weather but i was feeling crafty so decided to sketch. i love doodling so i thought why not giving it a go. well, i've been to life drawing couples of times though i haven't gone for ages so i feel like my hands need practicing. first attempt using watercolour and it didn't turn out really well... i should have just kept it plain in black and white. and i do need a lot of practice *sigh*

hiatus

oh no.. i've missed blog action day post on the 15th oct.. i know it's not a good excuse really, but my days have been quite hectic - what can i say, i'm stuck in the advertising industry. did anyone participate? send me a link to your post, i would love to check them out.

didn't realise that i have abandoned my blog for so long! it got super hectic the last 2 weeks that i had to work at some ridiculous hours. i'm so happy we've got a long weekend here in sydney, we still have monday off; hope next week is a better week. btw i have now loaded some photos of my trip on flickr. check out chare's too for more lombok photos - had a really fun time with you in lombok, char. we should do this again next time!

my year

so i welcome myself to the late twenties... this time of the year i want to be on a relaxing vacation on my birthday. about 8 hours from now i will be on a plane flying to jakarta, as well i'm going to lombok, hong kong and macau. hopefully i'll come back with a new refreshed and peaceful mind. i want this year to be my year! not sure if i have a good internet connection there, otherwise i'll see you all in about 2 weeks. happy spring days for those who are in australia! it was a long story how it happened, but one thing that upsets me the last few weeks was i got my credit cards stolen. twice. (that's right. twice.) and whoever stole them, they used more than $3000 in total... *sigh* thing is, i'm leaving the country in 2 weeks for my holiday. i just want to get everything sorted before i leave... had lots of tea and cookies, they are always comforting, it helps me to calm down. oh... and blogging too, trying to take my mind away from it by browsing beautiful things online.

brownies and julius

have i told you yet that we have a new puppy? brownies (left) is the mom and about a month ago she gave birth to our new black puppy (right). we named him julius, after julius caesar and julius the monkey from paul frank's characters. they both are so far away at parents' house in my home country though, i miss brownies and can't wait to meet julius...

whinge of the day

ok, today is the day for a cranky post. lately i've been a bit struggling with my wardrobe, need to go shopping and get new clothes, need to get a new haircut, i need to get started to do some exercise too (been very lazy and so not motivated...) i also think i need to do something more fun, something creative to do outside work. have you ever felt like this? *sigh* so anyway, i did some online window shopping, and here are some gorgeous coats by australian retail brands...



cue has gorgeous black and white collection this season, and i love how they display the fashion illustration.


and witchery is one of my favourite australian brands. anyway, sorry for the whinge, guys... maybe i'm just feeling bored. maybe i need a holiday. or maybe this is time for retail therapy.

i woke up this morning and this was the view from my balcony. the sky was lovely and the sun said hi.


this lovely package arrived last week, it makes me happy. once more with feeling is amy's independent magazine project, it's lovely and inspirational, and as an extra she included a cute illustration print too. thanks amy and congratulations!

i'm back online!

agh!! been too long that i've been disappearing from my blog! thank you all for the nice comments and wishes! i'm back online now, finally we got internet at our new home connected. we're still busy decorating our place to look a bit prettier... i promise i will post some photos when i have a chance but maybe not some time soon. i have hundreds of blog posts waiting on my reading list! give me some time, will catch up and give you updates slowly! *picture by blancucha*

tragedy

just a quick line as a tribute to heath ledger. such a tragic news to hear about it this morning, he's such a brilliant actor and played great movies. big sympathy for his family and friends going through this hard time. may he rest in peace. *photo by agnieszka*

congratulations ika and david!
