on a side note, i'm very sad about the bad news that mixwit is shutting down. all of mixtapes and profiles will stop playing before end of the year. i might have to remove my mixtape posts then when the time is come :(

here are some highlights from my weekend. whitest boy alive, ladyhawke and the presets - you guys rock! oh and i think erlend øye is just the coolest nerd ever, i can watch him singing and dancing all day, i want to bring him home with me!

just the other day i was having a chat to my sister about children books we love, and look what i found at flickr today! 'debbie learns to dance' by marcel marlier is one of my fave books when i was a kid. i think i still keep that book back home in jakarta - we have the indonesian translation version and it's called 'tini belajar balet'. although the book cover is already torn and there are some marks here and there, i still love this book! what's your fave book(s) when you were kids?

yesterday was a crappy weather but i was feeling crafty so decided to sketch. i love doodling so i thought why not giving it a go. well, i've been to life drawing couples of times though i haven't gone for ages so i feel like my hands need practicing. first attempt using watercolour and it didn't turn out really well... i should have just kept it plain in black and white. and i do need a lot of practice *sigh*

i heart ladyhawke! been playing her music everyday and i still don't get bored of it! i've bought my ticket to nevereverland - ladyhawke is going to play as well as my other favourite band the whitest boy alive (i mean, who doesn't love erlend øye that guy from kings of convenience?) here's a teaser of the venue, there are still a lot of other cool bands playing too so quick get your ticket!

torso clothing

i'm back to the blogging land! work has been slowing down a bit since it's towards the end of the year which is great, i think we deserve a break! and btw for all of you t-shirts lovers (like me), my friend from work chris halaska has just launched his new label torso clothing, you should all check it out! they're all printed on 100% cotton american apparel t-shirts. i bought a couple of them, they're very comfy indeed. congrats and good luck chris!

winnie lui's chandelier for innermost is one astonishing artwork. i think her website is still under construction at the moment, i can't wait to see more of her stuff. so anyway i need some kind of a wardrobe revamp here. since i obviously spend more time on the internet than on the shops - i wonder where you people usually shop online for nice and affordable clothes and accessories? do share with me, will you :)

didn't realise that i have abandoned my blog for so long! it got super hectic the last 2 weeks that i had to work at some ridiculous hours. i'm so happy we've got a long weekend here in sydney, we still have monday off; hope next week is a better week. btw i have now loaded some photos of my trip on flickr. check out chare's too for more lombok photos - had a really fun time with you in lombok, char. we should do this again next time!
