today is tuesday!!! omg, i think i really am becoming a movie freak. so anyway, tonight's movie was memoirs of geisha. well well.. what can i say.. i think i totally agree with my sister's opinion. generally it has great pictures, good acting, but it could have been much better if supported by excellent english! hear hear... i wasn't complaining or whatever, i know i don't have perfect english either, but really, there were some conversations in the movie that were just too hard to understand because of the accents! another note, i think the plot went so slow while the story was actually quite simple. ***

well well, job hunting sometimes could be just so exhausting, could it! i need some break after all day surfing and digging, searching for what's out there, the best career opportunity i could get. so it's time to chill out with some relaxing music, browse some fun stuff and blogging time! and oh.., it's tuesday, it's a bargain day for cinemas!

the producers

when i first saw the producers poster on an outdoor ad, i actually wasn't feeling very excited to see the movie. well, i know it's a famous broadway's musical play, but then i'm not a really big fan of musical movies. in fact, i found the first 20-30 minutes of the movie was quite boring! so basically i chose this movie 'cause it was just one of the must-see movies that i have to watch. well, it was nominated in 4 categories for golden globe awards. see what i mean? but yes... i got myself wrong as it turned out that i enjoyed the rest of the movie very much! it was just so funny and i laughed so hard in almost every scene of the movie! great coreography and nice settings. i would say this is the best musical movie i've ever watched. *****

open air cinema

st.george open air cinema was amazing! i've never watched movie in an out door screen before, but it was actually exciting! especially it was located in mrs.macquaries point with the beautiful view at the background of the screen where you can see the city at night, the harbour bridge and the opera house. it was fun that you watch the movie under the stars with the wind blew lightly on your face! for those of you who are in sydney, the cinema is still on untill feb 16.


so, the movie itself, keeping mum, which was a british black comedy, was just hillarious! very entertaining, one of the funniest movies i've watched. ****

the russian dolls

last night i went to cinema with friends and we watched the russian dolls (les poupees russees), a romance comedy french movie about this writer named xavier and his love life. with its contemporary style, the story was fresh, original and very multicultural. locations were taken in paris, london and st.petersburg. though i personally think the plot was quite slow. ***

i'm now so curious about the first sequel of the movie, the spanish apartment (l'auberge espagnole)!

harry's pie!

just had some tiger pie from harry's cafe de wheels: meat pie with mash potatoes, pies and sauce! the famous aussie pie in woolloomooloo, they also have branches in capitol square and galeries victoria. yummy!

chiken little

after all this time i finally got the chance to watch this movie! cute story, but not a super hillarious one that makes you laugh out loud. they have a pretty nice website though with the animation and everything. ***

went to oxford street today and found this little shop called cambodia house. good ideas for gifts or your home decorations, plus you'll donate a little something too coz this shop is for non-profit business!
